For the selection of flow meters for materials/buffer solutions (no particle crystallization, no corrosion, viscosity 10cp, normal temperature and pressure, flow rate 42-72L/h, material 316L, conventional polishing) in ultrafiltration systems, DN10 caliber electromagnetic flow meters are recommended as the preferred solution, and high-precision vortex flow meters can be used as economical alternatives. The specific analysis is as follows:

 

Flow range to range ratio
 

DN10 electromagnetic flowmeter: The range can be set to 10-100L/h, and the actual operating flow rate (42-72L/h) covers 42% -72% of the range, which conforms to the selection principle of "commonly used operating conditions fall within the range of 30% -70%", avoiding accuracy degradation caused by "large horses pulling small cars".

High precision vortex flowmeter: with a range ratio of 10:1, it can cover the range of 5-80L/h, but the flow rate needs to reach 0.5m/s or above to ensure accuracy. It is necessary to verify whether the actual operating flow rate meets the requirements.

Reasonable flow rate
 

DN10 electromagnetic flowmeter: The flow rate at 42-72L/h is 0.15-0.25m/s, which is close to the minimum recommended flow rate of the electromagnetic flowmeter (0.3m/s). By optimizing installation (such as vertical installation), low flow noise interference can be reduced.
 

Vortex flowmeter: The flow rate should be ≥ 0.5m/s. If the actual flow rate is insufficient, it may cause signal fluctuations, and the flow rate needs to be increased by reducing the diameter or adjusting the installation method.

Material and process compatibility
 

Lining material: PTFE (suitable for non corrosive media, compatible with buffer solution).
 

Electrode/shell material: 316L (regular polishing, meets hygiene requirements, consistent with pipeline material).
