Magnetic Float Liquid Level Gauge Adaptability and Optimization

 

Magnetic float liquid level gauges can be selected, but specific optimization is required to adapt to hot wax conditions:

 

Material and Temperature Adaptability: 316L stainless steel is used, meeting food-grade requirements and withstanding hot wax temperatures up to 82℃, exhibiting good resistance to paraffin corrosion.

 

Viscosity Adaptability Optimization: A high-buoyancy float and a large-diameter main pipe are used. The float density is 0.1-0.2 g/cm³ higher than paraffin, ensuring smooth movement of the float in paraffin
with a viscosity of 4-7 mPa·s, avoiding jamming.

 

Function Matching: Select a model with remote transmission and an alarm switch, enabling 24V signal output to a PLC, meeting the monitoring requirements for high and low liquid levels (35cm, 10cm).
An accuracy of ±10mm meets the liquid level control requirements of a 76-liter small storage tank.

 

Anti-crystallization design: The level gauge is equipped with a jacketed insulation device, and steam is introduced to maintain the fluidity of the medium, preventing paraffin crystallization from adhering to
the wall and causing the float to become stuck.

 

Alternative solution: 80G frequency-modulated radar level gauge For more stable measurement results, the 80G frequency-modulated radar level gauge is a better choice:

 

Performance advantages: Utilizes non-contact measurement, completely unaffected by paraffin viscosity or liquid level fluctuations, with strong anti-interference capabilities, and superior measurement
accuracy and stability; it can automatically control false echoes, suitable for conditions with foam or impurities.

 

Compatibility: Supports 24V power supply and can output 4-20mA signals to a PLC; the 316 stainless steel material meets food-grade requirements and high-temperature operating conditions; during
installation, obstacles such as agitators within the storage tank must be avoided.

 

Flow Meter Selection Scheme

 

For the CYB3-3Y rotor pump conveying 82℃ paraffin wax, the following flow meters are recommended:

 

Positive Displacement Flow Meter

Reasons for Suitability:Paraffin wax has a viscosity of 4-7 mPa·s, classifying it as a medium-viscosity medium. Positive displacement flow meters offer high accuracy and a wide range, making them suitable
for precisely measuring the flow rate of this type of medium.

 

Parameter Requirements:Made of 316 stainless steel, meeting food-grade requirements and high-temperature operating conditions; flow range covering 36 liters/minute; output 4-20mA signal, compatible
with PLC systems; possesses good vibration and electromagnetic interference resistance, ensuring measurement stability.

 

Electromagnetic Flow Meter (Optional)

 

If the paraffin wax contains a small amount of conductive impurities, an electromagnetic flow meter can also be selected:

Reasons for Suitability:No pressure loss, high measurement accuracy, fast response speed, suitable for real-time flow monitoring.
